by jtgsac January 30, 2012 07:11

Unit #12 is currently available for sale. Contact GSAC Jay Thomson for an appointment to see the unit.

The unit is on the second floor of the building. It is 1,714 square feet (footprint), with an additional 300 square foot (approx.) bedroom loft, and a 144 square foot studio loft for storage. Ceiling heights range from 17' to a soaring 25' in this unit. Huge windows and skylights throughout the unit. BRAND NEW kitchen with new floor, stone countertops, new modern appliances, new contemporary cabinets and lighting were installed just before the owner relocated to New Mexico for a job opportunity.

Heat is provided by gas forced-air furnace. Air conditioning is built-in in the bedroom, and a portable A/C unit is provided for use in the living area or studio.
Off-street, secure parking. Spacious back yard + garden available for resident's use. Snow removal/lawn work included. Secure entry at front and rear of the building.

The building is owned and run by the residents/co-op members. We are a self-managed co-op. This means that every member is expected to serve on one of our committees every year. On average, you can also expect to serve on the Board of Directors about every 3-4 years. Each committee and the board meets (at least) once a month.

We recommend you download and read the documents posted on this website (under "To Join") in order to familarize yourself with the nature of Cooperative living and working before scheduling an appointment to see the unit. Additional photographs of this unit can be seen on our Facebook Page, Greene Street Artists Cooperative.

To make an appointment to see the unit contact GSAC Membership & Policy chair Jay Thomson.

The owner's asking price is $75,000 (reduced from $80K). Monthly co-op fees for this unit are $857, which includes unit's proportional share of the building mortgage, taxes, water & sewer, and building maintenance fees.
